So, I’ve been a little… depressed lately. It’s hard being away from the one you love, and when you propose to her, and then almost immediately put her on a plane to far, far away you get in a funk eventually.

Today, that all changed.

You see, my mom offered to buy Nikki a plane ticket up here. Just a one way ticket, as Nikki will be staying with me until we BOTH move to Texas in October.

I can’t believe it’s going to be sooooooooooooo sweet. I’ve missed her so much that I can’t even describe it. I just know that this is exactly what I need. Her. She is what has been missing.

So, I have a new phone. It’s the LG Dare, and basically it’s awesome. But, I will need all your phone numbers again. Feel free to text it to me 810-275-4145. Thats right, I just put my phone number out on the internet. Goodness what was I thinking!

So, what is up my peoples?  Nikki goes home today, and thats super sad. I’ve really greatly enjoyed her being here with me for almost 2 weeks. She is just… it’s undescribable how much I love her.

Other things going on in my life… I’m learning some computer programming, which is fun. I’ve not done much yet and I kinda took a little break since Nikki’s been here, but I’ll get much more serious about it again after she leaves.

I guess that’s really about it. My yearly review is coming at work… which is a little weird because they know I’m moving to Texas in like, 2 months. So, hopefully they just THROW money at me so that I can save a little before I leave.

There is a game tonight, game 4, and I am having people over. There shall be drinks and snacks and awesome people. If you are not one of these people, FEAR FOR YOURSELF! Or, you know, you may live too far away. Whatever. LOVE YOU ALL!

Seriously, there is nothing going on in my life right now. It’s all just waiting for things to happen.

But, I’m watching Hockey right now, and the Red Wings are kicking Dallas’s ASS bad. It’s 4-0 in the 2nd period. I’m loving it. However, something I don’t love are the Viagra Intermission commercials. Basically, the premise is Old guy and old woman sitting somewhere… one old person says the other old persons name. Then, a “Viagra Intermission”  screen pops up, like the old intermission patterns at the drive - in. Then, it goes back to the old people looking really happy.

So, as anyone who really knows me is aware, the food network is my 2nd true love (after Nikki of course.) So I am watching a DVR’d episode of Good Eats (favorite show ever!) and it gets to the first commercial break… except there are no commercials. It just goes right back to the show. The second commercial, same thing. Show only. I think it’s a little weird, but keep watching anyway. I get to the end of the show, and BAM, like, 8 minutes of commercials are waiting there for me. I don’t know if this is a new feature of the Comcast DVR, but if it is… I’m a fan. It takes all the work out of watching a DVR’d show, I no longer need to skip commercials myself. I didn’t really MIND doing it before, but with as much as I bitch about Comcast, I figure I’d at least mention when they are (potentially) doing something awesome.

A week ago, I was sitting in Massachusetts, just doing my thing. It was an amazing time. This Friday, I’m in my apartment, waiting for a load of dishes to finish so that I may start baking a strawberry cake for a friend’s birthday at work. I also did some grocery shopping today, for ingredients obviously and other lunch type things.  Such is the exciting life of a man who doesn’t work on Fridays.

I’m heading up to work in a little bit because Rob needs help with taking his car somewhere and I’m giving him a ride back. After that, I’m coming back for some cake-makin’ goodness. Then, I’ll install all the necessary files and things for the current book I’m reading about learning C#. I am really looking forward to learning C#, and hope I’m not really really horrible at programming things in an organized manner. We shall see.

So, Nikki and I saw this movie tonight. I’m telling you, Jason Segal is probably one of the funniest people I’ve seen recently.  See this movie. See it, I promise you won’t be disappointed.  Other than the occasional penis shown in the beginning of the movie, it’s awesome.

I’m really loving being with Nikki, as usual. Good lord, I can’t wait to be with her always and forever. NOW PLEASE.

So, I’m pretty sick of the recent news coverage of the polygamist sect lately. Apparently removing kids from an obviously unsafe environment is BAD FOR KIDS. Don’t get me wrong. I am the LAST person who believes that splitting up families is good. I think it’s HORRIBLE. Less kids in the foster care system is awesome. I love kids. I want about 50 kids. The argument stands that it wasn’t the mothers having sex with the really young girls, so why take the kids away from their mothers? Well, let’s see. I am pretty sure the role of a parent, you know, a good parent, is to protect their child from the dangers of the outside world. So, lets leave these kids with mothers who openly and happily let these sick, twisted old men have sex with these CHILDREN. No, I’m sorry… you sit back while Old Man Jenkins is impregnating your 12 year old daughter? Fuck you, gimme your kids. You obviously aren’t smart enough to know how to raise them properly. I understand that it’s their religious belief, but guess what? You’re free to practice your religious beliefs as long as innocent kids who don’t know any better aren’t getting hurt. This is America, where you can practice whatever religion you want. You wanna worship that really cheeky monkey at the zoo? Feel free! Want that monkey to have sex with your 12 year old daughter? No kids for you! It’s the same damn thing.
